ISO 14001 is an environmental management system (EMS), which is a tool for managing the impact of an organisation’s activities on the environment. It is the benchmark for environmental standards and ensures environmental aspects and impacts are being considered and prevented. It can be used by any organization regardless of its activity or sector.

Hibbs experienced certified auditors can work with you to operate an environmental management system (EMS) that meets all the certification requirements of ISO 14001:2015. We can also conduct compliance audits against ISO 14001.

An environmental compliance audit is a review of the environmental legal compliance status of a facility and/or the extent of environmental liability. To protect human health and the environment, facilities are required to comply with state and commonwealth laws, operating licence and/or development consent conditions to manage the environmental impacts.

Environmental non-compliance can result in serious penalties and needs to be assessed through regular environmental compliance audits. The environmental compliance audit report identifies any non-compliances supplemented by evidence and provides recommendations to ensure legislative compliance and avoid penalties.

Running environmentally friendly business practices can reduce business risks, improve reputation and drive market opportunities whilst preventing the likelihood of an environmental incident.
